Return of Saturn

from June 21st~

Had hoped today would be a stay-at-home all day in our pajamas sort of day. It did not quite happen but still was decent enough. We're unpacked and laundry is mostly done. Tomorrow I have a lot of packages to ship. Julian has also asserted that he wants to go "somewhere". I think our trip spoiled him a little. He also asked if we were going to the airport this afternoon. The nearest I want to be to an airplane is starting the final season of LOST tonight!

Drained

(Is it obvious that I'm totally over this photo-of-the-day thing?
Photographing food is an indication of a total lack of interest...)

Goat Cheese & Arugula

That feeling like a drained snow globe? Yeah, that's me today. And for no good reason. Maybe the Island is affecting me- too much LOST too fast. At least the food's been pretty good lately. I need a verse.  I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

A Nice Day

Friday, May 18, 2012~

Such a nice day... We met up with daddy for lunch and then ran errands. I know once Julian starts school this fall, our schedule will be much more rigid and my morning errands will be done solo. Sometimes it's a pain to have to reign in a 4 year old at the store, but I'll miss these moments and the real, unposed little smiles he bestows on me when we're out and about.

Tonight Jason picked up sushi from our favorite little place and we just hung out here at home. I really don't mind a quiet Friday night these days. We still get out a bit during the week. Jason and I have just been eating up Season 2 of LOST and we have ways of entertaining ourselves so even a night in isn't boring!

Still Cleaning

Tuesday, May 15th~

Lady Dy*

The cleaning goes on, even more motivated by the fact that a stranger came to my house this afternoon. I did have a little help which was very nice. Tomorrow I hope to tackle the "inner kitchen"- cabinets, fridge, etc.Tonight I'm just enjoying LOST with the hubby and planning a reasonable bedtime.

*I got my Dyson a couple years back. I love her. She has totally lived up to the hype. These are worth the money, especially if you are able to find a refurbished one. Mine came from Overstock.com.

The Day Before...

Friday, April 27th~

Kenny hanging lanterns and parasols for us
What a long day! The morning was productive and just flew by and then I lost my keys and that sent everything into a tizzy. Well, for me internally. For everyone else, things went as scheduled. My babysitting angel, Tarin, took Julian and then I joined up with my Links of Hope gals to work on getting the event set up. We got a lot done and should be in good shape tomorrow for the actual event. I just love the 1920's style and it's going to work so well there. Now to put my costume together...

Almost Perfect

@ Karlie's 1st birthday

We've started watching LOST. I feel like we're jumping down a delightful rabbit hole. We had a nice Saturday. Juju and I started the day watching superhero cartoons. Jason picked up lunch and then we attended a nice little birthday party for our friend's adorable daughter. We had dinner at our favorite pizza spot. Now we're relaxing in front of the tv. I like carefree Saturdays. This one almost was one. But... I think I'm having a kidney issue. I've had a stomachache half the day and it feels like the same kind I had 7 years ago when I had a kidney stone. It's an unpleasant feeling at best. So I'm drinking tea that helps flush the kidneys and water and I've doped myself up some. I've got the same type meds as they had me on before. Maybe it's just a stomach bug, but if not I hope I can just pass whatever this is on my own.
