Over the Heat

Tuesday, August 14~

H & I took the kiddos up to Palm Harbor for the last free summer movie. They showed Over the Hedge. It's cute, but I'm not crazy about some of the morality statements the movie makes. Anyway, afterwards we went to the Safety Harbor City Park to kill some more time. It was so hot. The kids played a little bit.

Altered Archeology- TBEC Member of the Week

Monday, May 7th~

We had such a nice morning at the park today. It was shady, breezy and a lot of good friends turned up. I hope every Monday in May is the same way!
So as El Capitan of the Tampa Bay Etsy Crew, I get to showcase our Member of the Week. This week it's Jessica at Altered Archeology! Jessica is native to the Tampa Bay area and currently lives down by Indian Rocks Beach. Her shop is delightful mix of vintage finds, assembled art pieces and jewelry. Check it out at www.etsy.com/shop/AlteredArcheology. Her product photos are terrific too and we can all learn from that!

Here are my picks from her shop:

¡CĂnco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo 2012~

Pinata madness

We fiested hard this year! Jason's company picnic was such a rager that they wanted the employees families to come too. A corporate company actually wanting to include employee's spouses and kids- bonkers! Anyway, we hit that hard and then got out of there before it got lame.

My vacuum was feeling left out so when we got home, I busted her out and let her do her thing. Then Jason and I paired up and double-teamed the kitchen. Then the bathroom got it too. Then I did the front porch. Quick naps were needed to recoup before we hit the town again.

Now it gets loco... The Avengers in St. Pete at the same time as a Ray's game! Traffic was off the hizzy, as was parking, but we just crunked our way through it. The movie was amazing! I want to watch it again. Right now. In 3D. Afterwards, when we left the theater, the City of St. Pete kept the movie feel going by setting off fireworks. Nice of 'em!

So anyway, there ya go, our awesome Cinco de Mayo...

Timing

Monday, April 23rd~

3 amigos

Might have overdone it this morning, but Julian had a lovely time. I ended up sun burnt with an achy ureter. I have so much to do today- it's terrible timing to feel this bad. I just hope this passes soon. I have special friends to see tonight and my Etsy team meet up tomorrow evening.

Perfect Park Day

from Saturday, March 24, 2012~

This weather is just to die for! Julian and I headed to a birthday party at the park. We could not have asked for a better afternoon. It was sunny, but not hot because of a beautiful breeze. The birthday party was laid back and the playground was busy but not crowded. We could have stayed all day!
