That Niggling Feeling...

I keep checking my phone and my calendar. It's driving me nuts, but I keep feeling like I'm supposed to be somewhere this morning. I've had stuff going on every morning this week, so it's probably just me feeling odd about being home all morning. Jane seems to appreciate not being hauled around. Her one eye still has the clogged tear duct. I hope that rights itself soon. Here she is, waiting for me to put down my phone and give her my full attention!

Her eyes are such a dark gray still. We're so curious to see if they will go blue or brown!

Happy Birthday, Puppy!

September 21st~ Happy birthday, Drago! My little buddy turns 12 approximately today. When I got him I was still finishing school. He was the cutest fluff of a puppy ever. It was love at first sight. He's been my furkid ever since. It hasn't always been smooth sailing; he's had terrible allergies from age 4+. He's been twice attacked by German Shepherds. He's also had some pretty significant eye injuries. He's had to weather a baby, then grabby toddler for a brother. Still, at this very moment, we've got the allergies better controlled, his eyes are healed, and his fur is thicker than it's been in years. Things are going well for the old boy. I remember people saying we'd get rid of him when we had a kid. Boy, were they wrong!

Eye of the Dog

July 25, 2012~

He's still a little squinty, but at least the green stuff is gone!

Drago's eyes are doing well! The one has a chronic condition, but the other is healing nicely. I also started a new skin treatment for him. Once we get the fleas totally under control, he will be rolling like an 8 year old!

Tonight is another party prep get together for out Tampa Bay Etsy Crew's Craft party in August. It's gonna be big! It was just fun to get out and be crafty with friends. And there was pizza. I was feeling that! I think we got a lot done. I got to decorate paper lanterns with garland and then attach butterflies to the bottoms. Think the Roosevelt's going to look fabulous! As much as we got done, I think we'll end up having another prep night- so much needs finishing touches.

Frankenstein Face

Tuesday, June 6, 2012~

I should post a photo of my freakishly red face. I'm too vain to do that though. I just did 3.45 miles. I'm very tired. The thought of doing the half marathon (13.1 miles) is just not something I can grasp yet, but that is the goal. We've got until November to train.

Julian's haircut makes him seem so much older. He's taller too. I keep trying to photograph his face and capture his look right now. I keep thinking I see Jason's Granny Mabel's nose, but it's still to early to tell. He definitely has my mother-in-law's coloring! He's got my eye shape.
