When I Grow Up...

This lovely necklace was featured in an Egyptian treasury today. At one point in my life I wanted to be an Egyptologist. Anubis figures scare me half to death though! When you were in high school, what did you want to be?

One Month!

Jane is one month old tomorrow! It's gone quickly for the most part. Well, there have been some very long nights, but that's to be expected. I've absolutely loved putting her in all the pretty clothes everyone got for her. Here's today's little dress:

While I haven't shut down my Etsy shops, I definitely haven't listed anything new. I can't get my head into it yet. With Julian off school, it might not be until the end of the summer before I'm able to really put the necessary time into it. My good friend is curating an exhibit at the main Clearwater library and wanted to include a piece of my jewelry so at least I'm not completely inactive with it all. Here's the necklace we decided on:

Lastly I wanted to give an invite to all my Tampa Bay friends. My Etsy team is hosting the annual Etsy Craft Party for the area. It's open to the public and free to attend. There will be craft demos, food trucks, a good representation of local vendors, and more. We have the coolest location- St. Pete Shuffle- so you can also play shuffleboard to your heart's content. Teal and Copper

Saturday, August 4th~

I made this for myself from beads I picked up in India. Originally it was a bunch of bracelets. I've only worn in a time or two in the last couple years so I've decided to list it. The beads and ring are a copper tone covered in a teal blue wash of paint. I had to restring one of the strands and now it's ready to go!

Fuchsia and Navy

Saturday, June 23rd~

Prior to Mother's Day, I had a client mention they'd like a necklace with fuchsia and navy in it for their mom. She said she'd call me closer to the time. Based on that, I went out and got supplies. I didn't hear back from her and, well, Mother's Day has come and gone. This isn't unusual and I shouldn't have jumped the gun and bought stuff before it was a sure thing.

I spend a good chunk of this afternoon doing research on some vintage items I need to list in TheRicharmedLife shop. I couldn't find useful info and a couple of things ended up being pretty worthless. It was a little discouraging. After that, I felt the need to create. So I dug out a pendant I've had for a while and paired it with beads from the commission that didn't happen. Turned out nice, I think. Maybe my customer will want it for a Christmas gift!
