Shell Power!

I use a lot of shell in my jewelry. It's something I can get locally and in some cases, free! I have accumulated a bit of it. My jewelry use to mainly sell in a downtown Safety Harbor boutique that saw a bit of seasonal and tourist traffic. I catered many of my designs to that crowd. Recently I've found myself moving away from the shell-heavy pieces. I still like that component, but I'm not feeling inspired by it lately.
So I'm starting to "destash" some of my shells. The bigger pieces I used for display. The large abalone shells I still am not sure I want to let go. They have a certain luxuriousness to them...
Anyway, I staged these photos on the back of egg crate foam and was pleasantly surprised how much it resembles sand.
