I definitely get into trouble when I talk too much or slightly embellish a situation. It feels like it's not a choice, that it just comes out and once it's said it's too late to take it back. I think it takes some of us a lifetime to develop the think-before-you-speak habit. And at the same time, there are things that need to be said, but it takes real wisdom to understand how and when to bring things up. That's something that I'm terribly awkward at. I needed this reminder this morning.
