Fashion Show

Saturday, September 29th~


 Went to a benefit fashion show this morning. One of my pieces was in the silent auction (pictured in this entry). It was interesting hearing from the former inmates about how the program changed their lives. I don't think I'll be donating next year though.After hearing the organization stats and numbers, I think I'd rather save my donation for a charity that is less popular and does a little more with their funding.

Donate pile!

   The sorting continues... This has been good because it's giving me motivation not to hang on to everything in my own house. Well meaning gifts that just aren't a good fit don't have to fill up closets. Stuff that is stained or just pill-ey can get tossed. Cards that aren't particularly meaningful can be read, appreciated and disposed of. Magazines, once read, can be recycled. And, let's face it, I wouldn't want to leave so much for my family to have to wade through anyway.
